Getting ready for the long weekend calls for lots of florals…. and stripes too. If you’ve followed me for some time now, you are aware of how much I love a good challenge with mixing patterns (take a look here, here and here to see how I’ve done it before). I know mixing patterns could be very intimidating, but ladies, it could also be oh so liberating. Let me explain, usually we tend to stick to what we are comfortable with, so to do something unexpected with your wardrobe every once in a while creates such a powerful and more confident you. So now, I challenge you to try it! Come on!

And if you are wondering, “where can I wear something like this?” I chose it for a lunch date around the Miami Design District. A buzzling little area near Downtown Miami, known for its high-end stores, incredible restaurants and public art installations.

PS. Do you happen to recognize this top from a previous post? If you do, and you are thinking “Wait this is an off-the-shoulder blouse!” you are right, but I noticed you can wear it this way to… cool uh?!

BLUSA ESTAMPADA + PANTALONES CORTOS DE RAYAS

Prepararse para el fin de semana largo significa estampados de flores… y rayas también por supuesto. Y si me siguen desde hace algún tiempo, seguro que sabe lo mucho que me encanta un buen reto al mezclar estampados opuestos (echen un vistazo aquí, aquí y aquí para ver cómo lo he hecho antes). Sé que mezclar estampados puede ser un poco intimidante, pero chicas, les prometo que se sentirán tan seguras de si mismas cuando se decidan hacerlo. Déjenme explicarles, por lo general uno tiende a vestir en el estilo que se siente cómoda, por lo que hacer algo inesperado de vez en cuando crea una increíble confianza en ti misma, y les prometo que les encantara ¡Así que ahora las desafío a probarlo!

Y si se preguntan, “¿dónde puedo usar algo así?” Opte por vestir este conjunto a un almuerzo con mi esposo en los alrededores de Miami Design District. Un área cerca del centro de Miami, conocida por sus tiendas de lujo, increíbles restaurantes e instalaciones de arte.

Nota: ¿Por casualidad reconocen esta blusa de un post anterior? Seguro que están pensando “¡Esta blusa no lucia así, es de hombros al descubierto!”. Tienen razón, pero me di cuenta que también se puede usar de esta manera.
