How are the last minute holiday preparations coming along? Are all the gifts wrapped, has the dinner menu been decided and have all the out-of-town family members arrived? The hubby and I will actually be traveling abroad this weekend, and I can’t wait to share where. Now, for the second holiday look, I wanted to do add an edgy twist to the classic midi skirt. So I opted for this moto jacket (which I have already stressed in the past, is another piece you need to add to your jacket/outerwear arsenal). I love that despite its ‘bad girl’ appearance, you can add feminine touches to create an elegant look. Let me share a little story on this gorgeous skirt. Can you believe my mom made it? When I was a little girl in Cuba, many things (including clothe) were scarce, so my mom learned to sew and used to make me cutest little outfits. Now let’s fast forward to today, where there is absolutely no shortage of clothes but because she felt so in love with this pattern, she surprised me by making this beautiful midi skirt.

¿Cómo están los preparativos para las fiestas? ¿Ya envolvieron todos los regalos, ya decidieron el menú para la cena y ya han llegado todos los miembros de la familia que viven fuera? Mi esposo y estaremos viajando al extranjero este fin de semana, y pronto les contare donde. Pero si quieren ser uno de los primeros en saberlo, síganme a través de mis Historias de Instagram (pista: tuvimos que obtener visas).

Para el segundo outfit dedicado para las fiestas navideñas, quise añadir un toque moderno a la falda clásica. Así que opté por esta chaqueta (que ya he mencionado en el pasado de ser una pieza que necesitan añadir a su colección). Me encanta que a pesar de su apariencia de moderna, puedes combinarla con toques femeninos para crear una apariencia elegante. Déjenme compartir una pequeña historia sobre esta preciosa falda ¿Pueden creer que mi mamá la hizo? Cuando yo era una niña en Cuba, muchas cosas (incluyendo ropa) eran escasas, así que mi mamá aprendió a coser y solía hacerme bellas piezas. Ahora, avancemos a hoy, donde no hay absolutamente ninguna escasez de ropa, pero porque se enamoró de este estampado de flores, me sorprendió al hacerme esta hermosa falda.
