Sadly, the cooler temperatures in South Florida didn’t stick around (for now at least) but that didn’t stop me from wearing this gorgeous biker jacket (#DETERMINED) to dinner this past weekend. I decided to pair it with something that was feminine (to offset the structured shape of the jacket), short-length (because of the weather) and mostly, comfortable. Hence the reason why I chose this floral romper with beautiful ruffled detailing at the hem.
My hubby and I really enjoy trying new places to dine and always seem to find great restaurants in the all-mighty Yelp.com. This time we tried La Mar by Gaston Acurio, a Peruvian restaurant inside the elegant and chic Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Brickell. Since visiting Peru a few years back (if you haven’t visited Peru, please do! It is truly an amazing culinary and cultural experience) we have made it our mission to try all Peruvian restaurants in Miami. The Peruvian gastronomy is one of my favorites (after Italian of course, read here), their ceviche (fresh raw fish cured in citrus juices), tiradito (similar to sashimi but paired with different sauces), chupe (seafood stew), lomo salteado (sirloin strips served with onions, tomatoes, and French fries) is truly amazing. If you have yet to try this amazing cuisine, please do and La Mar by Gaston is a great place to start.

OTOÑO CON VUELOS: MONO FLOREADO + CHAQUETA BIKER
Lamentablemente, el clima fresco no perduro en el sur de la Florida por mucho tiempo (al menos por ahora), pero eso no me impidió de usar esta hermosa chaqueta estilo biker (#DETERMINADA) a cenar este fin de semana. Decidí combinarla con algo femenino (para compensar por las líneas rectas de la chaqueta), corto (debido al clima) y al mismo tiempo cómodo. Opte por este mono porque lleno todos los requisitos necesarios.
En cuanto a la cena, mi esposo y yo disfrutamos experimentar nuevos lugares para cenar y siempre solemos a encontrar los mejores restaurantes en el todo-poderoso Yelp.com. Esta vez experimentamos con La Mar de Gastón Acurio, un restaurante peruano en el elegante hotel Mandarin Oriental en Brickell. Desde que visitamos Perú hace unos años hemos hecho nuestra misión de probar todos los restaurantes peruanos en Miami (si no ha visitado Perú, por favor ¡hágalo! Es verdaderamente una experiencia increíble, tal culinaria como cultural). La gastronomía peruana es una de mis favoritas (después de la Italiana, por supuesto, lea aquí), su ceviche (pescado cocinado en limón), tiradito (similar al sashimi japonés pero con diferentes salsas), chupe (sopa de marisco), lomo salteado (carne) es verdaderamente increíble. Si aún no has probado la increíble cocina peruana, por favor hágalo y La Mar de Gaston es un gran lugar para comenzar.
