Hi all!

It is a new week and I am resuming my outfit posts from our trip, after a brief hiatus. Sorry ladies, I had to post these two cute sweaters here and here while it was still cold cooler in Miami. If you haven’t been around in the past 2 weeks, I have shared posts about the great time we had in Rio de Janeiro (here, here and here) and I have also put together a few travel vlogs. Now, as soon as we arrived to Buenos Aires, I noticed the beauty of its baroque architecture, and it completely captivated me. I felt like I was in Europe, it was a mix of French flair with Spanish pixy dust and I wasn’t complaining. Since dinner time was approaching, we were recommended to try a traditional steak house, Las Nazarenas. Didn’t disappoint; from the assortments of breads (I. LOVE. BREAD), wine selection (Malbec of course, since we were near its red wine capital), to the meat…. Oh my! The meat was outstanding; perfect cut, cook style and flavor. In all honesty, all the meat I tried in the trip was top notch.

The morning after, we were ready to visit Plaza Mayor, an iconic 19^th century central square where throughout its perimeter you can find many Buenos Aires landmarks like; Casa Rosada (which when translated, it is Pink House and equivalent of U.S.’s White house), Metropolitan Cathedral (the former seat of Pope Francis with an incredible history dating back to the early 17^th century) and a museum in the former colonial government building which houses exhibits about Argentina’s culture. We then headed to Colon Theater, another priced landmark of Buenos Aires. What a feast for the eyes! It’s exterior only shows a glimpse of its stunning interior. National Geographic ranked it the third best opera house in the world, and acoustically it is considered to be amongst the five best concert venues. They have daily guided tours, which you can’t miss out on if you visit Buenos Aires.

As for my look, it was oh-so comfy yet oh-so trendy. The fabric is very lightweight, soft and perfect for waking around all day sightseeing (or shopping if you prefer). As you can see, this panama hat goes with everything and another reason why I wear it so often is because of the sun. Hey! I am killing two birds with one stone.

VESTIDO ANCHO Y PENDIENTES DE BORLAS

¡Hola a todos!

Es una nueva semana y estoy reanudando mis posts de nuestro viaje a Sur América después de un breve descanso. Lo siento chicas, pero tuve que publicar estos dos chulísimos suéteres aquí y aquí mientras la temperatura de Miami lo permitía. Bueno, si no han pasado por aquí en las últimas 2 semanas, he compartido varios posts sobre lo bien que la pasamos en Río de Janeiro (aquí, aquí y aquí) y también les tengo unos vlogs de turismo sobre el mismo. Les cuento que tan pronto llegamos a Buenos Aires, me di cuenta de la belleza de su arquitectura barroca, y me cautivó completamente. Me sentí como si estuviera en Europa, era una mezcla de estilo francés con español, y me enamoro. Como la hora de la cena se acercaba, nos recomendaron una tradicional parrilla argentina, Las Nazarenas. No nos decepcionó; desde los surtidos de panecillos (AMO el pan) y la selección de vino (Malbec por supuesto, ya que estábamos cerca de su capital de vino tinto), hasta los puré de patatas, y la carne que nada mas de pensar en ella se me hace agua la boca. La carne era excepcional, el corte perfecto, el termino exactamente como lo pedí y su sabor, exquisito. Con toda honestidad, toda la carne que probé durante todo el viaje fue de primera categoría.

La mañana siguiente, estábamos listos para visitar la Plaza Mayor, una icónica plaza del siglo XIX donde en su perímetro se pueden encontrar muchos monumentos muy conocidos de Buenos Aires, como la Casa Rosada (equivalente a la Casa Blanca de Estados Unidos), la Catedral Metropolitana (antigua sede del Papa Francisco con una increíble historia que data de principios del siglo XVII) y un museo en el antiguo edificio gubernamental con arquitectural colonial, que alberga exposiciones sobre la cultura argentina. Luego nos dirigimos al Teatro Colón, otro monumento muy conocido de Buenos Aires ¡Qué belleza! Su exterior sólo muestra una mínima idea de su impresionante interior. National Geographic lo clasificó como la tercera ópera mejor del mundo, y acústicamente se considera que está entre las cinco mejores salas de conciertos. Tienen visitas guiadas diarias, que no se pueden perder si viajan a Buenos Aires.

En cuanto a mi look, era súper cómodo, aunque muy a la moda. La tela es muy ligera, suave y perfecta para caminar todo el día de turismo (o de compras si lo prefiere). Y como pueden notar, este sombrero estilo panamá va con todo, y otra razón por la que lo uso tan a menudo es por el sol. ¡Oigan! Estoy matando dos pájaros de un tiro.
