Does a throwback to this past weekend count? It sure does! especially when it’s about my recent trip to Puerto Rico. If you follow me along Instagram Stories, you must have seen all the fun we had. From renting a Jeep and driving with the top down to el Yunque (the only rainforest in the United States by the way) to visiting the Bacardí Distillery and sipping on a delish cocktail while enjoying Felipe el Morro fortress views. To say the least, we didn’t have enough time to do everything we wanted, thus we are already planning our return… yep it was THAT good!
After picking up the jeep at the airport, we dropped off our luggage at our hotel around lunch time, and headed straight to El Viejo San Juan (Old Town). Before I continue, can I just say how cute this part of the city is!!! Oh my! I felt in love with the pastel colors of the buildings, the wooden balconies, the gorgeous and bright bougainvillea’s and the friendly locals. I will share more details of where we stayed, dined and places we visited in upcoming posts, but for now, I will leave you with this cute bow top that I purchased during the Shopbop sale. ¿Recuerdos de este fin de semana cuenta verdad? ¡Seguro que sí! Especialmente cuando se trata de mi reciente viaje a Puerto Rico. Si me siguen en Instagram, deben haber visto lo mucho que hicimos. Desde alquilar un jeep y conducir hacia el Yunque (única selva tropical en los Estados Unidos, por cierto) hasta visitar la destilería Bacardí bebiendo cócteles deliciosos mientras disfrutábamos de bellas vistas de la fortaleza Felipe el Morro. Por decir lo menos, no tuvimos tiempo suficiente para hacer todo lo que queríamos, razón por la cual ya estamos planeando nuestro regreso.
Después de recoger el jeep en el aeropuerto, dejamos el equipaje en nuestro hotel alrededor de la hora de almuerzo, y nos dirigimos directamente a El Viejo San Juan (casco antiguo). Antes de continuar, permítanme contarles lo lindo que es esta parte de la ciudad. Me enamoré de los colores de los edificios, los balcones de madera y de las preciosas buganvilias. Voy a compartir más detalles de donde nos alojamos, cenamos y lugares turísticos que visitamos en los próximos posts, pero por ahora, los dejo con este top con lazo en la espalda que adquirir durante la codiciada venta de ShopBop.
