A few weeks ago I was invited to attend the 6th Annual Wine, Women and Shoes event benefiting Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. It was my first time attending, and it was truly inspiring and so much fun! It was an all-day affair, so I wanted to look classy, trendy and a little dressed-up while also comfortable. I decided on this feminine ruffled bell-sleeve top and floral pencil skirt, that I purchased at Zara a few weekends ago. Despite it being out of stock (as usual) I have found very similar options above. To elongate my figure (since the pencil skirt was a bit on the long side), I opted for my blush heels. And to preserve the pastel-shades of the look, I completed the look with my blush clutch.
The event began with some champagne cocktails; later, we were showed to our seats for the runway show, presented by no other than Neiman Marcus. It was all about bold colors, pompoms, tassels, crop tops and so much more. After the show, two beautiful young ladies were welcomed to the stage where they told their heartfelt story. They expressed their appreciation to the hospital’s staff, who have become like family to them, and thanked everyone whose donations help children like them.
I’ve always tried to be thankful for everything, even for the things I don’t have. So I leave you to think about all the awesome people you have around you, the place you call home, your job (even though you may not enjoy it at all times) and especially your health. Just remember to start each day with a thankful heart.

[/one_half][one_half_last]Hace unas semanas fui invitada al 6º evento anual de Wine, Women and Shoes que beneficia al Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. Fue mi primera vez asistiendo y la pase ¡fenomenal! Fue un evento que duro durante la mayoría del día, así que quería lucir elegante y a la moda, mientras que también cómoda. Me decidí por esta blusa femenina de volantes (vuelos) y falda ajustada, que adquirí en Zara hace unos fines de semanas atrás. A pesar de no estar ya disponible (como de costumbre) he encontrado opciones muy similares arriba. Para alargar mi figura (ya que la falda era bastante larga) opte por mis tacones beige, y para mantener los tonos claros del conjunto, escogí mi bolsa de mano del mismo color.
El evento comenzó con cócteles de champán, y más tarde nos mostraron a nuestros asientos para el desfile de moda, presentado por nada más y menos que Neiman Marcus. En la pasarela, vimos colores llamativos al igual que neutrales, pompones, borlas, blusas cortas y mucho más. Después del espectáculo, dos hermosas jovencitas tomaron el escenario y narraron su conmovedora historia. Expresaron su agradecimiento al personal del hospital, que se ha convertido como en familia para ellas, y agradecieron a todos cuyas donaciones ayudan a los niños como ellas.
Siempre he tratado de sentirme agradecida por todo, incluso por las cosas que no tengo. Así que los dejo a pensar en todas las bellas personas que tienen a su alrededor, el lugar que llamas hogar, sus trabajos (a pesar que algunas veces no lo disfruten) y especialmente, su salud. Recuerden de comenzar cada día con un corazón agradecido.
