Life with a baby can be quite stressful. Shelving units are ideal when you wish for a dream closet but aren’t ready to spend the big bucks on it. We used Ikea’s Billy book shelves to customize this space but you can also use this book shelve also from Ikea (this one from Target is another great alternative).

Using multi-use items is the smart thing to do
When I mean multi use, I am referring to things that (1) can be used several ways throughout the years and (2) are originally intended for other use. For example, these ceramic lidded canisters are from the kitchen section, but I use them to store pacifiers and their clips. I also used towel/clothe hooks for Mila’s bows, something you normally don’t see but serves the purpose perfectly, and may I add, beautifully! And lastly I used soap dispensers (from Ikea) for hand sanitizer and diaper cream

También usé ganchos para toallas/ropa para los lazos de Mila, algo que normalmente no se ve pero que sirve perfectamente el propósito, y luce ¡maravilloso! Y finalmente usé dispensadores de jabón (de Ikea) para desinfectante de manos y crema para pañales.

Decorative shelves are great
Great alternatives for side tables. Believe it or not, a table next to the glider (or any main form of lounger to breastfeed/bottle feed) is a must-have. Why? Well, in it you can prop the formula/breastmilk bottle you are about to use, the book you are about to read, a lamp to avoid turning on the room’s bright light, the pacifier you are about to use, an extra burp cloth, well, you get the gist. Ours is from HomeGoods, but here’s a similar one I found online.

Una increíble alternativa para una mesilla. Lo creas o no, una mesa al lado del sillón (o cualquier forma principal de silla para amamantar o alimentar con biberón) es imprescindible. ¿Por qué? Bueno, en ella puedes apoyar la botella de fórmula/leche materna que estás a punto de usar, el libro que estás a punto de leer, una lámpara para evitar encender la luz brillante de la habitación, el chupete que estás a punto de usar, un paño extra para eructos, bueno, la lista es interminable. La que tenemos es de HomeGoods, pero aquí hay una similar que encontré en línea.
