Are you all ready for the weekend? The forecast for Miami is lots of rain (has been raining non-stop) and a high of 86°F.
Well, I know I haven’t mentioned our upcoming trip around here, but time just flew by and the days creeped in without much notice. Another thing that’s happening at the Jorge household is the renovation project I had mentioned in this previous post. So to say the least, my mind is going a thousand miles an hour trying to tackle the loose ends of leaving abroad for two weeks while the house is being torn apart (literally). I know I will get a lot of questions about this major project, but I plan to share more about it soon. We renovated most of our home the first years of owning it, but we recently (more like a year ago actually, counting all the planning, designing and approval process) we have decided to enlarge our master bedroom, which will allow for a bigger en suite bathroom and my dream walk-in closet.
Now, because of all of the above, I have been opting for relaxed and light pieces more often than not. This past weekend, the hubby and I were running errands, for both, the trip and house project, and this adorable maxi dress made the cut (which I recently found during my weekly Target run). The fabric is the softest and it has pockets #DoubleScore! Because I knew we were going to be in and out of stores, I added this sleeveless denim vest for extra warmth (which I have worn before here) . [/one_half][one_half_last]¿Están listas para el fin de semana? El pronóstico para Miami es de mucha lluvia (no ha parado de llover por los últimos siete días) y un máximo de 86°F.
Bueno, sé que no he mencionado sobre nuestro próximo viaje al extranjero por aquí, pero el tiempo voló y los días pasaron sin mucho aviso. Otra cosa que está pasando en casa es nuestro proyecto de renovación que había mencionado en este post anterior. Por decir lo menos, mi mente va a miles de kilómetros por hora tratando de maniobrar las preparaciones y quehaceres de salir al extranjero durante dos semanas mientras la casa está siendo destrozada (literalmente). Sé que recibiré muchas preguntas acerca de este proyecto, pero pienso compartir más sobre él pronto. Hemos renovado la mayor parte de nuestra casa los primeros años de vivirla, pero recientemente (más como hace un año en realidad, contando con todo el proceso de planificación, diseño y aprobación) hemos decidido ampliar nuestra habitación principal, lo que permitirá para un baño más grande y el vestidor de mi sueños.
Ahora, debido a todo lo anterior, he estado eligiendo piezas relajadas y livianas la mayoría de las veces. Este vestido fue el escogido este fin de semana pasado para hacer mandados, para ambos viaje y proyecto de la casa. La tela es súper suave y tiene bolsillos (una de mis cosas favoritas de él). Ya que sabía que íbamos a estar dentro y fuera de las tiendas, añadí este chaleco de mezclilla (que he vestido antes aquí) por protegerme del frio. ¡¿He mencionado cuán increíblemente cómodas son estas sandalias?!
