[one_half]After a few days of exploring Berlin, it was time to discover the next city! But when I found out we were to ride a coach bus for the next couple of hours, I had a moment of “what do I wear”; until… I remembered about these pants. I am a firm believer that you can still look trendy and comfy while you travel. But the main reason for my 2-second panic attack was due to the fact that I had not planned this outfit prior to leaving the states. Which is my trick on achieving the task of traveling with one carry-on. Planning is THE key ladies! Anyway, I actually did not pack these in my luggage, instead I purchased them in Berlin on a whim. And ladies, that spur-of-the-moment decision at H&M proved to be useful for such long ride to Prague.
So we hopped on a very comfy coach bus and before crossing the border to Czech Republic, we stopped at Dresden. This is another, just as beautiful, town about 3 hours away from Germany’s capital. The city was known as the Jewel Box due to its rococo and baroque center. Sadly, during World War II, a lot of the center was destroyed in a controversial bombing that killed approximately 25,000 civilians. But after the restoration phase, most of the buildings have regained their splendor.
These pictures were taken in the beautiful grounds of Zwinger Royal Palace’s courtyard (which also suffered damaged). This palace is recognized for its baroque style and for the artwork it houses. Today, it is a museum complex where many pieces by Raphael, Titian, Peter Paul Rubens and Rembrandt, among others are displayed.

[/one_half][one_half_last]Después de explorar por unos días la increíble ciudad de Berlín, era el momento de conocer la próxima ciudad. Pero cuando supe que íbamos a montar un autobús por las próximas horas, tuve un momento de “¿qué visto?”; hasta que… me acordé de estos pantalones. Soy fiel a la noción de que puedes lucir a la moda y cómoda mientras viaja. Pero la razón principal de mi pequeño ataque de pánico se debió al hecho de que no había planeado este look en casa, antes de viajar. Y ese es mi truco al lograr la tarea de viajar con una sola maleta de mano. ¡Planear antes es la clave chicas! De hecho yo no había empacado estos pantalones, realmente los compre en Berlín por capricho. Y chicas, ese antojo de último momento en H&M resultó ser útil para el largo viaje a Praga.
En camino a la República Checa, nos detuvimos en Dresden. Esta es otra hermosísima ciudad a 3 horas de distancia de la capital de Alemania y era conocida por su centro arquitectónico de estilo rococó y barroco. Lamentablemente, durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial, una gran parte del centro, fue destruida en un polémico bombardeo que provoco la muerte de aproximadamente 25,000 personas civiles. Pero después de la fase de restauración, la mayoría de los edificios han recuperado su esplendor.
Estas fotos fueron tomadas en el hermoso patio del palacio Zwinger (que también sufrió daños). Este palacio es reconocido por su belleza barroca y por las obras de arte que alberga. Hoy en día, es un complejo de museos donde se exhiben muchas piezas de artistas muy conocidos como Raphael, Tiziano, Peter Paul Rubens y Rembrandt, entre otros.
